Audio, without a bot
Records meeting audio straight from your Mac (system sound and your mic together), so it works with every app: Zoom, Meet, Teams, FaceTime, even the person across the table. Nothing ever joins the call.
Noted lives in your menu bar and records the audio and video of any call on your Mac, without sending a bot to join it. Transcription, speaker names, and diarization run entirely on-device, on Apple-Silicon models built for the Neural Engine.
Records meeting audio straight from your Mac (system sound and your mic together), so it works with every app: Zoom, Meet, Teams, FaceTime, even the person across the table. Nothing ever joins the call.
Captures the call's video too, from Zoom or any browser-based meeting, and saves it as a clean MP4 on your disk. Still no extra face in the participant list.
Follows the live participant list (who's talking, who's muted) and turns “Speaker 2” into real names from your calendar invitees, voiceprints it remembers across meetings, and on-device diarization. No bot in the call, yet it still knows who said what.
A transcript writes itself as people talk, powered by on-device speech models. Read along mid-call; search every word for as long as you keep the file.
Recordings of the same repeating meeting (the Monday sync, the Tuesday 1:1) group into a series automatically, straight from your calendar. Tell each series to record always, ask first, or never, and stop re-answering the same prompt every week.
Every series keeps a rolling agenda, right next to what's still open from last time. Jump back to the previous occurrence in one click, and Noted can write the agenda into the next calendar invite, so everyone walks in prepared.
Focus on the meeting, not on note-taking. Noted transcribes every word as people talk, labels who said what, and saves the whole conversation as a plain Markdown file on your Mac. Everything runs on-device, so nothing is uploaded and no account is required. Your words stay yours: a text file in a folder you control, to keep, search, or delete.
Maya Chen0:12 Can we still ship the onboarding change this week?
David Kelso0:41 Yes, copy's done, it goes out Thursday.

Maya Chen1:08 Perfect. Sam, anything blocking the beta?
Sam Ortiz1:20 Just the billing bug. The fix is in review now.
What's still open from the last month of product syncs?
Just the billing bug Sam flagged on Jun 24. The fix is in review, the onboarding change shipped, and pricing copy is on next week's agenda.
Botless recording has gone mainstream, but most “private” notetakers still ship your audio to a server to transcribe and summarize it. The rare thing is doing the whole job on your Mac.
